So we've gone on a couple of day trips and taken shots, and I went up to Quilty for seaweed and got a couple of sketches in oil pastel there, which do need a little more work. But sketching outdoors is GREAT. That said, I'll be doing a bit more on the ones I've done here at home.
And selling the piece at the Red Door gallery was a great motivator, so I went and applied to show works at the Listowel Visual Arts Week - google it, because it's more than just exhibitions, there are really interesting workshops going on there as well, the kids will LOVE it - and what do you know, two of the three works I submitted were accepted!
So this has motivated me to send out more submissions, and I'll be sharing any good news that comes in my way.
In the meantime, I have work in the Draíocht Gallery in Adare, but it's worth popping there to meet Andrew and Agnes, and as for Agnes, she's something of a legend I think, so many great stories .... both her own and about the works and artists they represent there.
