Knockfierna - an oil pastel sketch

Says it all, really - a sketch done in oil pastel of the hill near my house, on a non-rainy day. I did it and put it away for a while and forgot all about it until I was looking for something else, and decided to get it framed up. It's been to two different galleries, and now it's home again.

Nude leaning on a stool

Another one courtesy of Limerick Printmakers, chalk pastels on coloured paper. I look at this now and think the lower leg is wonky. Oh well. I think this was a 30-minute pose.

A landscape: Ballyneale, 2011

I'm absolutely delighted to be getting so much traffic. Thank you everyone. Please remember that if you are interested in buying any of the pieces you see here, you can always e-mail me.

The little oil on canvas I painted out of doors last year, early in spring before the leaves grew on the trees. I used palette knives instead of brushes, like the Ballyneale painting I did in 2002, and you can see the 'impasto' effect on it here. Then I had it put into a simple white box frame and it looks gorgeous.

It's still for sale: €450 plus shipping costs.
